Annual Opening Ski Day

We have been doing this for 6 years now! Opening Day at Big White.  Parents and students hit the slopes Thursday afternoon from 1:00 pm- 3:00 pm. Dismissal will be from the village near VCM, mailboxes, and flags at the big clock tower at 3 pm.  This will be the same process for each and every ski day we have from December – April.

Ski day process:

Bring all equipment to school – ski gear, skis or snowboard, etc.

The fire department takes our gear up to our meeting spot (Village Centre Mall AKA Clock tower near Mailboxes)

Staff and children walk up to Gondola and take Gondola to the meet spot.

Parents meet at the meeting spot if they are skiing with staff and children we create some groups of children to ski together and we ski for the afternoon.

We meet back at our meeting spot at 3:00 pm for dismissal, we do not come back to school.
